Who we are:

Our Choir during an exibition Our Choir is made up by people of every age, lovers of music and singing, that meet toghether just for the pleasure to sing toghether.
But we don't limit ourselves to sing just for us: we try to let the others know the magic of the choral singing and the happiness that can derive from it.
Our repertory includes the sacred music genre, but also opera pieces, spirituals, popular and light music.
In the annual concert planning, particular importance is given to the organization of the April Meeting Exibition, that, being based on equal exchange, let us know and face with other choirs, from Italy and abroad.
Within us there are students, clerks, teachers, workers, professionals and retired people.
Every time we exibite, nearby as abroad, the most graceful reward is the audience applause, that crowns our efforts and our director's one.

Our story ... in a pill:

The "San Cassiano" Choir began his pure polyfonic "a cappella" activity in 1992, with a various program based on sacred music genre, profane and popular music, that brought it really soon to the critic's notice.

Actually since 1990 a little group of singers, on the initiative of the first president Dante Busetti and under the guide of a willing priest, Don Elvio Sforza, used to meet to animate the messes in the Cassiano's parish. The chorists, at that time, were not divided into the four classical polyfonic voices (soprano, alto, tenor and bass), but everybody was trying to sing at best.

With the Maestro Rolando Tomassini arrival in 1992, the Choir gain a more "canonical" lay-down and soon the number of chorists grew up to 50 people. The Choir distinguished himself in regional and national ambit, participating to several meeting exibitions.

In 1996 the Maestro Gianluca Gagliardini succedeed as director until 2003, when the Maestro Michele Quagliani took-over.

From september 2006 the new choir direction is consigned to the Maestro Marco Guarnieri.
