Where we are:
Montemarciano (100.61 yards above sea level) is located in central Italy, precisely in the Marche region and within the Ancona's province, only 2.49 miles far from the Adriatic coast between Senigallia and Falconara Marittima. The little Municipality of Montemarciano
, that extends for a surface of 8.30 square miles, has a population of almost 10.000 inhabitants spread in different hamlet, among whose the most populated is Marina di Montemarciano, located on the coast. Another important hamlet for us is Cassiano, where the Choir was born.
Just to give a more precise idea, the capital city, Rome, is 174 miles far in south-west direction, while 62 miles far in north-west direction, along the coast, we can find the really famous seaside resorts of Rimini and Riccione.
Also in north-west direction, but only 10 miles far, we find Senigallia, well known seaside resort of the surroundings also called "Velvet Beach" for the really fine quality of its sand.
Only 6.2 miles looking south we have to notice the presence of the International Airport of Ancona-Falconara
, who offers direct links with Paris, Barcelona, München, Moscow, London...
10 miles south-west we find Ancona, regional capital of the Marche, important maritime knot of the Adriatic Sea, from where you can take aboard for several locations, among whose we remember Zadar and Split (Croatia), Igoumenitsa and Patras (Greece), Turkey. Aheading south, over the Conero Mountain promontory, we find the Conero Riviera, a notable naturalistic interest zone.
About 25 miles far from Montemarciano, also in south-west direction, there's the town of Loreto, famous for its Marian Sanctuary, that represent an important destination of many pilgrimages.
